About me as an Author
I’m Philipp. By day I’m a software developer. Outside of that I’m deep into hobbies, and writing is one of them.
I got into writing because of my wife. For a long time I read to her almost every night: Grimm, Andersen, and other classics. At some point we realized we kept running into the same patterns and some of those “classics” are honestly a little weird once you look at them too closely. So we started writing our own stories. At first it was just for fun. Then it got more serious. And eventually that turned into our first book: 'Zwischen Traum und Abenteuer'.
I enjoy humorous, quirky stories that feel a bit like fever dreams. And I love dark worlds like Berserk or Dark Souls, rough around the edges, but coherent and atmospheric.
When I read for myself, it’s usually manga, informative articles, or non-fiction.
About my wife
Emily is the reason this whole thing exists. She basically created our nightly reading ritual and she’s also the person who helps the most with the cozy stories. She brainstorms, gives feedback, and tells me when something sounds off. She’s my first (and most honest) editor.
